Frequently asked questions

I'm a vegetarian. Is the BodyCode programme also suitable for me?
Yes, the dietary supplements are vegetarian and the diet itself does not require meat. However, the diet may require more creativity and perseverance on the part of vegetarians, especially those who eat neither meat nor fish.

I'm lactose-intolerant. Can I still go ahead with the BodyCode programme?
By all means! In fact, no dairy products are included in the diet phase. And while dieters may consume dairy products during phases 2 and 3, they do not represent a recommended part of the diet.

I'm on medication. Will that prevent me from participating in the BodyCode programme?
The best thing to do would be to ask your consultant. While taking medication should not prevent you from trying the programme, you may need to adjust your medication in certain circumstances.

Does the BodyCode programme present any problems for women on the pill?
No, the BodyCode programme will not alter the effectiveness of oral contraceptives.

Does the BodyCode programme involve the use of any hormones or chemical additives?
No, the BodyCode programme is based entirely on natural products, and is therefore free of any hormones or chemical additives.

Do dieters get enough calories during the 27-day diet phase?
Not enough to maintain their weight. When you reduce your carbohydrate intake to an absolute minimum the way you do during the diet phase, your body shifts from a carbohydrate-burning metabolism to a metabolism that burns fat. This process of burning fat reserves is referred to as ketosis. When in this metabolic state, your body draws the energy (calories) it needs from its own fat reserves.

How much weight can I expect to lose during the 27-day diet phase?
The amount of weight you lose will vary depending on your sex, your metabolism and other factors. It is therefore difficult to predict in advance. Your personal consultant will assist you when it comes to defining your goals. Our experience shows that BodyCode dieters can expect to lose between 8 and 12% of their body weight by the time they successfully complete the second phase, after a total of seven weeks.

What will I not be allowed to eat during the diet phase?
What you can and cannot eat during the diet phase is described in the 3-phase plan ("BodyCode wellness-food"). All participants receive the diet plan, as well as a list of recommended, and tasty, meals at the beginning of the programme.

What does the BodyCode programme cost?
As the supplier of the BodyCode programme, we're restricted for legal reasons to issuing price suggestions to our consultants. At the end of the day, the price depends on the individual consultant and the exact range of services provided. We advise you to select a consultant from our list of partners and find out the exact price of the programme.
